I have loved running for as long as I can remember. It is one of the few things that I find gives me unparalleled joy. In running I can challenge myself, explore new towns, discover secret corners of places I know, and give my mind the escape it needs to achieve sanity and mindfulness.
During a run, my favourite part is when I experience an endorphine rush. This can happen at different times; sometimes when I connect with a certain song or during a difficult part of a course, I feel this climatic surge of energy that makes me feel empowered to take on anything I put my mind to.
My greatest running accomplishment to date has been completing the Leeds Half Marathon in 2015. My next goal is to complete a full marathon by 2018.
